Highlights of Presentation and Discussion Items


The following items were presented to the Board:
Finance Report: As of September 30, 2018 the Board learned the system is at 19.96 percent for the budget year. The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax revenues for August 2018 were up 9.65 percent from 2017 collections and down 1.31 percent from last month. A financial statement, investment reports, and bond summaries were also shared, as well as a detailed capital projects analysis. 
2019-2020/2020-2021 School Calendar Drafts-  Joey Pirkle, Deputy Superintendent, presented the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 School Calendar drafts after receiving input from the LSC's.  These will now be on our website for public comments.

Action Item
The following item was approved:

Drug Prevention and Counseling Agreement: The Board approved by unanimous vote the Drug Prevention and Counseling Tri-Party Funding Agreement with the Forsyth County School District, United Way of Forsyth County and the Sheriff's Department.
